Reflexology for women I offer a wide variety of wellness treatments
Foot Reflexology
Foot Reflexology involves applying pressure on the feet which are believed to have points that correspond to various organs and body systems. The foot treatment start with stimulating various points to identify areas of tenderness or tension, followed gentle movements to warm the feet up. After that, pressure is applied from the toes to the heel to work every part of the feet.
Hand Reflexology
Hand Reflexology shares many principles with acupuncture, in that it relies on a belief that our bodies contain channels of energy. Over time, these channels can become blocked, resulting in illness. Applying pressure to certain parts of the hands, these energetic channels can be cleared. By removing the blockage you can restore balance and well-being to the whole body.
Facial Reflexology
Facial reflexology brings all the benefits of foot reflexology but not only does it aim to help improve your health and well being, the unique benefit is that it can also help you give a younger complexion, radiant glow as well as leaving the skin to appear tighter, smoother and plumper over a series of treatments. Facial reflexology is considered a natural alternative to botox.
Pregnancy Reflexology
During pregnancy your body goes through significant changes, emotionally and physically. Reflexology helps restore the body’s equilibrium. The calming effect on the body and mind of the mother-to-be, has an immediate and direct calming effect on the baby, thus the unborn baby will also benefit from the treatment.
Hot & Cold Stone
Hot stones dramatically improve the effectiveness of any reflexology treatment. Heat penetrates more deeply than finger pressure, reaching up to seven centimetres (7 cm) into the tissues. Cold stones have a refreshing and invigorating action on the body. They can act as an analgesic, ‘numbing’ pain and reducing inflammation.
For Cancer Patients
Overall, reflexology is thought to be very helpful for anybody on a cancer journey. It can help to improve a person’s quality of life, whilst creating and sustaining an overall sense of wellbeing, which is pivotal for anybody on a healing journey. Reflexology can be a reprieve from the stress of cancer diagnoses, treatments, and everyday life.
What to Expect What happens at your first appointment
Your first reflexology session is usually the longest, as I need to get to know you. Sessions usually last between 45 minutes and an hour, but before your first treatment can start,I will talk to you about your health, lifestyle and diet. It’s important to be open and honest in order for the treatment to be as effective as possible. You should mention anything that affects your daily life, including medications that you take and any stress or strains that you are experiencing.
